It appears that Jerry Silverman will be starting at his job a few weeks earlier than expected. He was set to take over for Howard Rieger as the president and CEO of the United Jewish Communities/Jewish Federations of North America on Sept. 30. But according to the following email from the incoming UJC chairperson, Kathy Manning, Silverman will start Sept. 8:
Dear Colleagues,
As part of our ongoing efforts to keep you updated on the appointment of our new President and CEO, Jerry Silverman, we are delighted to inform you that Jerry will be completing his responsibilities with the Foundation for Jewish Camp by early September. This will enable him to start at UJC/The Jewish Federations of North America on September 8, rather than at the end of September as originally projected.
We will keep you posted once Jerry is on board officially about contact information and other news.
Sincerely,
Kathy Manning
