(JTA) — Vandals defaced a Jewish cemetery in Ottawa.
Staffers at Jewish Memorial Gardens in suburban Herbert Corners arrived Oct. 22 to find headstones and other property defaced with swastikas, anti-Semitic epithets and obscenities, the CBC reported.
Police are treating the vandalism as a hate crime, the report said.
An older Ottawa-area cemetery was vandalized two years ago.
