The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington is still searching for a new CEO after being turned down by its primary candidate, according to The Washington Jewish Week.
The federation offered the job to Gil Preuss, an official at the Combined Jewish Philanthropies in Boston, but Preuss declined the offer, Adam Kredo reported.
The federation will now turn to other candidates to fill the position vacated by Misha Galperin, who left the federation to become the head of global operations for the Jewish Agency for Israel.
From the WJW:
For now, the Greater Washington federation is still looking at Stephen Silberfarb, who’s currently the CEO at the Jewish Federation of Rhode Island, the source said.
"I know he is deeply interested, and there is a great degree of interest in him," said the insider.
