JERUSALEM (JTA) — A memorial service will be held in Jerusalem for a murdered American woman while police continue to investigate her stabbing as motivated by nationalism.
Two men allegedly involved in the attack have been arrested, The Jerusalem Post reported Thursday, even as police maintain a media blackout on the case.
Christine Logan, 40, also identified by some media outlets as Christine Luken, was stabbed to death after she was attacked and kidnapped, allegedly by Arab assailants.
Logan and a friend, Susan Kaye Wilson, a tour guide from Givat Ze’ev who made aliyah from Great Britan in 1991, were attacked Dec. 18 while hiking at Khirbet Hanut, an archaeological site near Beit Shemesh. Wilson pretended to be dead and survived the ordeal.
A memorial service was scheduled for Thursday at Christ Church in Jerusalem’s Old City. Logan worked in Britain for the Church’s Ministry Among Jewish People, a messianic Jewish organization. She will be buried in the United States.
