(JTA) — Three students reportedly have admitted to anti-Semitic and racist vandalism at their Southern California high school.
Three Calabasas High School 11th-graders were identified by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s investigators as blanketing the school, including lockers, walls and the sidewalk, over the weekend with swastikas, a picture of Hitler and phrases like "gas chamber" and "whites only," according to The Los Angeles Times. Their names were set to be released at a news conference Wednesday.
The names of seven students and two teachers, most Jewish, also were scrawled in the graffiti.
The accused students reportedly were released to their parents. They have not yet been charged, the Los Angeles Jewish Journal reported.
The graffiti was removed before the start of school on Monday. The school has a large proportion of Jewish students, according to the Journal.
