Bar Refaeli was just posing for a modeling campaign, this time for the French label BELAIR, but one photo of the Israeli supermodel wearing a coat made of real fox fur upset a bunch of animal lovers, especially PETA and its celebrity spokesperson, Pamela Anderson.
Anderson sent Refaeli a letter saying, “You probably weren’t aware that numerous undercover investigations have revealed that foxes, minks, coyotes, and rabbits—and even cats and dogs—are bludgeoned, genitally electrocuted, and often skinned alive for their pelts.”
Refaeli tweeted in response: “I think its time 2 get it straight! i’m against fur! the truth of the matter is that on the shoot day i was told the fur is FAKE!” She added: “i had many opportunities to do fur campaigns and always turned them down. this is an unfortunate situation that i was told a lie.”
Way to get out of that one, Bar, the last organization you want to get in trouble with is PETA.
