That thought is pinned to the fridge door in the home of Linda Bennett, who lost her daughter, Marla, in the 2002 bombing of the Hebrew University cafeteria.
Bennett explains to the San Diego Union-Tribune why she backs the exchange that freed her daughter’s killer for Gilad Shalit:
“It won’t bring Marla back,” Linda Bennett said, sitting in the living room of her Del Cerro home this week. “But if it will save one life, it’s worth it.”
