To the Editor:
Re Glenn Beck being honored at the ZOA dinner: I am sick and tired of liberal Jewish journalists demeaning pro-Israel Republicans like Beck, as if support of Israel does not count if the person is pro-life, anti-Obama, etc. It is ironic that many pro-Israel conservatives are demeaned, while anti-Israel Jewish liberals are accepted with open arms.
Conflicts over taxation, abortion, etc. will be with us forever; Israel may not. JTA’s Ben Harris and liberal Jews with similar stances should develop their priorities, as well as their manners. Would they prefer that the Glenn Becks and the evangelicals disappear, and leave us with the Norman Finkelsteins and Noam Chomskys, just to mention a few Jewish renegades?
