J Street has posted a video arguing against a strike against Iran.
Notably, it does not feature warnings from Iran experts on the American left. Instead, many of its quotes are from Israelis, or from American centrists, and from the defense secretary, Leon Panetta.
I would imagine that this is not because J Street believes the arguments of a Trita Parsi or a Barbara Slavin or a Paul Pillar are necessarily suspect.
It’s more that quoting Israelis and centrists — particularly those attached to the defense establishment — preempts "usual suspects" pushback from conservatives who believe the prospect of a strike should be on the table.
