A minor earthquake shook northern Israel.

JERUSALEM (JTA) — A minor earthquake shook northern Israel.

The quake was felt in Metullah, located on the border with Lebanon, as well as in Kiryat Shemona and Safed. No injuries or damage were reported.

The earthquake, which had a magnitude of 3.7, was reported to be centered in southern Lebanon.

In January, an earthquake measuring 3.1 rattled the area around the Sea of Galilee. A month earlier, a quake measuring 4.2 was centered in northern Israel and was felt in Jerusalem.  

Parts of Israel and the West Bank lay on the Syrian-African fault line.
