Ouch. In last night’s episode of “Dancing with the Stars,” Melissa Gilbert, who bought her fame as Laura Ingalls Wilder of the 1970s show “Little House on the Prairie,” injured her head during a dancing routine with her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
The two performed a live version of the paso doble dance as part of the “Rock Week” of DWTS, and Gilbert hit her head (you can see in the video, around the 50-second mark) in what didn’t seem to look to serious, but caused her to feel a concussion-like symptoms. “She was a little nauseous and dizzy, so she decided to go to the hospital,” Maksim’s brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, told CNN after the show.
Gilbert suffered a mild concussion and whiplash, according to her rep. She was taken to the hospital during the show, as hosts Brooke Burke and Tom Bergerontold the audience.
Gilbert and fellow contestant William Levy are the two Jewish contestants of season 14 of the ABC show.
