In two races we’re watching, both involving Jewish candidates challenging sitting senators, the latest polling shows the incumbents on top.

In Ohio, Sen. Sherrod Brown, a Democrat, leads his Republican opponent, State Treasurer Josh Mandel, by seven percentage points, according to a poll released today from Quinnipiac University, CBS News and the New York Times. However, another new poll, from Ohio Poll and the University of Cincinnati, showed Brown up by only one point.

Meanwhile, in Nevada, Sen. Dean Heller, a Republican, leads his Democratic challenger, Rep. Shelley Berkley, by five percentage points, according to a new SurveyUSA poll for the Las Vegas Review-Journal and KLAS-TV 8 NewsNow.
