American Red Cross is asking for financial donations to support relief efforts.
Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice is collecting donations to support relief efforts in Newark.
Brooklyn College’s Hillel has set up a Hurricane Sandy distress fund to provide clothing and textbooks to affected students.
The Center for Disaster Philanthropy has established a Hurricane Sandy Disaster Fund.
City Harvest is collecting donations to feed hungry New Yorkers.
Emergency Sandy Chesed Fund, formed by a group of Orthodox organizations, is organized by City Councilman David Greenfield and managed by Hatzalah with support from neighborhood Jewish community Councils. Mail donations to 1340 East 9th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11230, care of Chevra Hatzalah.
Jersey Cares is looking for donations and volunteers.
Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ is collecting donations for its Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. They also have a list of organization that need donations of food and supplies here.

The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), the umbrella group for organized philanthropy in major cities and regions, announced Oct. 30 that it has opened its Hurricane Relief Fund for donations towards recovery and rebuilding.

Sea Gate Hurricane Emergency Fund: Donate to help families in the hard-hit community of Sea Gate, Brooklyn.
UJA-Federation of New York has a Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. The federation funds agencies that serve seniors, the poor and the hungry throughout New York City, Westchester and Long Island. Some of the agencies’ offices have themselves been damaged.
The Union for Reform Judaism is reaching out to its congregations to determine the most immediate needs in affected communities and is collecting donations.

Bonim Builders of the Jewish Federations of Northern New Jersey is seeking volunteers to assist with cleanup in the metropolitan area. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
Congregation Beth Elohim needs volunteers and donations. They have delivered over 13,000 meals to people in need and successfully evacuated 40 seniors from JASA in Far Rockaway.

The New York Blood Center: Blood supplies were critically affected by the storm, as the same outages that affect our region also affect many donation sites. Red Hook Initiative is accepting donations at their center located at 767 Hicks Street (corner of West 9th Street). Please show up to lend a hand in clean up and/or donate. MICCIO (110 West 9th Street) and Visitation Church (98 Richards Street) are taking non-perishables, water, diapers, feminine hygiene products and cleaning supplies. Please deliver to those locations. At 767 Hicks Street, they will need hot prepared food for dinner. 402 Van Brunt needs cleaning supplies tailored for industrial sized cleanups including masks, gloves, shovels, contractor bags, mops and drywall knives.
