Former mayor Ed Koch was released from New York Presbyterian Hospital Monday morning after successfully battling a lung infection.
The city’s oldest ex-mayor will celebrate his 88th birthday with a party at Gracie Mansion on Wednesday, NY1 News reported.
Koch, who served from 1978 to 1990 maintains a vibrant work and public appearance schedule, including working at a law firm, Bryan-Cave, appearing on NY1s “Wiseguys” segment and writing commentaries and movie reviews sent by email to anyone who wants them.
