An Israeli accused of spying for Israel has been jailed for the last several weeks in Yemen.

JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Israeli accused of spying for Israel has been jailed for the last several weeks in Yemen.

It is believed to be the first time that an Israeli citizen has been arrested and accused of spying in Yemen, according to Yemeni media.

The man, who has dual Israeli and Yemenite citizenship, reportedly goes by two names: Abdullah Muhsan al-Himi al-Siari and Abraham al-Deri, according to the Israeli news website Walla, citing Yemeni news sources.

He reportedly has been held in several prison facilities and been interrogated.
