During his trip to Mumbai to celebrate his success from the Oscar-winning film “Lincoln,” Jewish filmmaker Steven Spielberg shared exciting news with the foreign film industry: he plans to make a movie about the disputed border territory between Pakistan and India.

Speaking with the Times of India, Spielberg confirmed he had finalized a script for the film, which will be his first movie made in India in over three decades.

“Part of it will take place on the India-Pakistan border in Kashmir” Spielberg explained, “but we’re still trying to figure out the casting, locations and who’s going to direct it.”

The new film is being made with DreamWorks and RelianceEntertainment. The last film Spielberg made in India was “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.”
