It seems the accolades never end for Rick Hodes, the Jewish doctor in Ethiopia whose work taking in orphans, caring for the sick and running medical clinics for the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee has made him a figure of international renown.
The latest award came from Brandeis University, which on Sunday conferred an honorary degree upon the Long Island-raised doctor (featured in an award-winning JTA profile story in 2006).
Read his commencement address or watch him deliver it here.
