Levi Rosenblat, the yeshiva student from Israel who was injured in the attack yesterday at the central Chabad-Lubavitch chasidic synagogue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, remains hospitalized today.
Rosenblat, 22, was transferred to Bellevue Hospital Center from Kings County Hospital after doctors determined that the knife stabbing of his left temple caused bleeding on the brain and possibly pressure on his brain.
His vital signs have remained steady, according to Chabad sources, but Bellevue Hospital Center did not disclose his condition today.
Rosenblat is to be transferred later today to the hospital’s intensive care unit.
Calvin Peters, the 49-year-old mentally unstable assailant, was shot to death yesterday by New York Police in the Lubavitch synagogue on Eastern Parkway when he refused to surrender his knife.
