(JTA) — Members of a British neo-Nazi group posted a clip of themselves on YouTube defacing a Jewish monument.

The vandals from the National Action hate group hung a swastika flag and a poster of their organization over the large menorah located in Cannon Hill Park in Birmingham and painted anti-Semitic graffiti on the monument, as well as on the park gates. Their faces are blurred and they are wearing gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints.

In the video, the vandals are spray-painting a Star of David on the park gates and writing “bankers” and “1%.” One percent of the German population was Jewish before the Holocaust, according to the Birmingham Mail.

West Midlands Police launched an investigation last week after the video was posted on YouTube, the Mail reported.

The monument in west-central England is maintained by the area’s Chabad-Lubavitch group and is lit every year on Chanukah.
