JERUSALEM (JTA) — An American-Israeli man living in Israel has not been seen for a week.

Aaron Schneiderman, 25, of Beit Shemesh, was last seen on the night of Sept. 10 in the city about 20 miles west of Jerusalem.

“Nobody has seen or heard from my brother since last week Thursday, he was last seen hitching to Yerushalayim on his way to the kotel and told my mom he’d be home for shabbos,” Schneiderman’s sister, Chaiya Schneiderman-Friedberg posted Wednesday on Facebook.

“We are hoping and praying that everything is ok we just want to know that for sure,” she wrote.

Jerusalem District police told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday that Schneiderman could be in the Tel Aviv area after a friend told the family that he gave Schneiderman a ride from Jerusalem to Ramle last Friday morning, from where he said he was traveling to Tel Aviv.

Schneiderman, who works at a local pizza parlor, previously worked in Tel Aviv, his father, Yossel, told the Post. Yossel Schneiderman also told the newspaper that his son did not suggest that he would be away from home for several days.
