Ongoing from March 3: The NY Klezmer Series, curated by Aaron Alexander, has relocated yet again, this time to Brooklyn and to Thursday nights. The schedule is still forming but the March 3 opener looks like a good one, featuring an all-star fidl kapelye featuring Alicia Svigals, as well as an instrumental workshop, dance session and jam session. May 26: Yale Strom embarks on his most unusual project yet, a synthesis of Yiddish and Chinese folk musics, in an exploration of the Russian Jewish community of Harbin.
