Prophetic closing words to Gary Rosenblatt’s column, “Can This People Be Saved” (Jan. 5): “I can only hope that 2017 was a nadir for our society and that the new year will be one of rebuilding broken relationships before it’s too late.”
He hit the nail on the head. Our community is very fractured on the right and left. I see the family dysfunction play out within synagogues and communal organizations across the country. We must rebuild, regroup and move forward as a family. Dialogue and communication are important steps in this process. We are stronger together.
