Oct. 4: Silk Road Tea House: An Evening of Bukharian Jewish Culture. A wonderful opportunity to sample a vibrant and unique Central Asian Jewish culture, particularly strong on intoxicating musical rhythms. Museum at Eldridge Street (12 Eldridge St.), eldridgestreet.org.

Oct. 21: The Tucker Foundation works to preserve and disseminate the musical heritage of the great Jewish operatic tenor Richard Tucker. This year’s gala will honor 2018 Richard Tucker Award-winner Christian Van Horn, bass-baritone, along with winners of past Richard Tucker Awards and honored guests including Christine Goerke, soprano (2001 Richard Tucker Award-winner), Angela Meade, soprano (2011 Richard Tucker Award-winner), Anna Netrebko, soprano, Nadine Sierra, soprano (2017 Richard Tucker Award-winner). Stephanie Blythe, mezzo-soprano (1999 Richard Tucker Award-winner) and Michael Fabiano, tenor (2014 Richard Tucker Award-winner). Needless to say, the music should be impressive.

Nov. 4: Kol Isha Cantorial Concert, a showcase for two of the rising stars of the next generation of the American cantorate, both of them women, Cantors Hayley Kobilinsky and Galit Dadoun Cohen. Nov. 8: Daniel Barenboim and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra make one of their infrequent visits to New York for a program of Richard Strauss and Tchaikovsky. Carnegie Hall (Seventh Avenue and 57th Street), carnegiehall.org.
Nov. 26: Jenny Scheinman’s new ensemble, Parlour Game, returns to Joe’s Pub (425 Lafayette St.) after an August gig. The rest of the aggregation features Carmen Staaf (piano), Tony Scherr (bass) and Allison Miller (drums). Publictheater.org.
Dec. 2: MusicTalks, an organization that breaks down the barriers between musicians and audience, will present a special Chanukah performance featuring Elad Kabilio, Yiddish theatre star Daniella Rabbani, Inbar Goldmann, and the Israeli ensemble 12th Night Klezmer. Dec. 22-27: Yiddish New York. The biggest and most eclectic assembly of Yiddish culture in the United States returns for its fourth year.
