JERUSALEM (JTA) — A Palestinian woman who attempted to stab a Border Policeman in the West Bank was shot and wounded.
The woman pulled out a sharp object later identified as a pair of scissors and tried to stab the Border Policeman who was performing a security check at a gas station near the Kfar Adumim settlement, according to the Israel Police. Police officers also found a knife in the woman’s bag.
The woman, 37, was identified as a resident of the nearby Palestinian village of Yatta.
She was taken to a Jerusalem hospital with moderate injuries.
The attack came a day after a Palestinian man attempted to stab Israeli civilians and a soldier near the Jewish settlement of Kiryat Arba, outside of Hebron in the West Bank, before being shot by Israeli troops.
