More than 2,000 Jewish Community Center leaders ?rom 200 communities in 38 states will participate in the 1950 annual conventions of ## eight regional sections of the National Jewish Welfare Board during October, November and January, it was announced here today by Mrs. Walter E. Heller, chairman of the J.W.B.’s Jewish Center Division.
Round tables, seminars, workshops and addresses at the parleys will be de?oted to four major problems: 1. How to make Centers more effective instrumentalities for serving the total Jewish community; 2. An examination of the Centers’ place in furthering an appreciation for the democratic way of life through forums, youth councils, recreational facilities and informal educational programs; 3. How to stimulate closer working relationships between Centers, synagogues and Jewish schools; 4. Practical questions of Center programming and administration.
