Ten persons imprisoned for entering Palestine illegally told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency from their cells that they were beginning a hunger strike “to the death,” stating that although they had served their terms and posted bail, they were being held in prison pending deportation. They also complained of maltreatment by the police.
