Charles Ullman, treasurer of Rescue Children, Inc., arrived here today from a mission in Europe where he has been engaged for the past two months in transferring 1,000 orphaned Jewish children from Poland to France.
Ullman said he conducted his work under an arrangement with the French Government which, he revealed, permits a total of 7,000 such children to enter France. He estimated that about 5,000 orphaned Jewish children are still in Poland, adding that to date 600 Americans have become sponsors for the maintenance of the children.
