One thousand Bronx residents have made reservations to attend a dinner Wednesday night at the Concourse Plaza Hotel to launch an extensive drive in the Bronx on behalf of the United Jewish Appeal. Nathan Straus, co-chairman of the Greater New York United Jewish Appeal, will be the guest of honor. The principal speakers will be Rabbi Jonah B. Wise, national co-chairman of the Appeal, and Rabbi Barnett R. Brickner of Cleveland, Ohio. A program of entertainment will be furnished by radio stars of WOR through the courtesy of Abraham Krasne, chairman of the Bronx Division.
