Ten thousand persons from all over the country today attended funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Weizmann, mother of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, who died yesterday of pneumonia. Eulogies were delivered at the Great Synagogue by Sephardic Chief Rabbi Ben Zion Uziel and Gershon Levi, president of the Haifa Jewish Community, and at the graveside by Moshe Shertok and Joshua Suprassky.
American Jewry’s condolences were cabled to Dr. Weizmann in London by Dr. Solomon Goldman, president of the Zionist Organization of America, who is visiting Palestine.
