Ten thousand members of the Wholesale and Warehouse Workers Union today held a two-hour stoppage here to protest “British terror against the Jewish people in Palestine” and to demand that the Palestine Mandate be transferred to the joint administration of the “Big Three” under supervision of the United Nations.
The stoppage, organized by the union and eight employer associations in the woolens industry, was part of a week-long campaign by unions affiliated with the American Jewish Labor Council. Last night members of the United Public Workers of America, also affiliated with the Council, picketed the British consulate here.
