A campaign to raise $1,000,000 was launched here last night at a dinner in honor of Dr. Chaim Weizmann sponsored by the American Trade Union Council and the National Committee for Labor Palestine. Nine hundred personal attended the affair.
Dr. Weizmann was ill and could not attend. His wife, Mrs. Vera Weizmann, read his address. David Dubinsky, president of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union; Jacob Potofsky, president of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union; Max ##aritsky, president of the United Hatters, Cap and Millinery Workers; and Joseph Sprinzak, general secretary of Histadruth, also spoke.
