10th Annual “jerusalem Examinations” to Be Offered in 16 Cities in U.S.

The tenth annual “Jerusalem Examinations” will be held on April 20, 1958, it was announced here today by the Department of Education and Culture of the Jewish Agency.

The examinations, which test the candidates proficiency in Hebrew language, Bible, Misnah, as well as classic and modern Hebrew literature, are prepared by the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and administered in a number of countries throughout the world. In the United States and Canada, the examinations are sponsored by the Agency in cooperation with the American Friends of the Hebrew University and the National Council for Jewish Education. They will be offered at:

New York, Herzl Institute; Chicago, Jewish Academy; Pittsburgh, Hebrew Institute; Philadelphia and Detroit, United Hebrew Schools and Yeshivos; Newark and Rochester, N. Y., Jewish Education Association; Miami, Louisville, Buffalo, N. Y., New Haven, Conn., Providence, R. I., and Cleveland, Bureau of Jewish Education; Cincinnati, Hebrew Union College, Natchez, Mo., Jewish Center, and Montreal, Hebrew Culture Organization
