Dear Jim:—
It is a great privilege and honor to be associated with my old classmate in the Allied Jewish Campaign for overseas reconstruction activities. The foundation of a purpose to enable a people to help themselves has been laid. Plans have been prepared to build the superstructure. When finished it will rehabilitate hope and ambition and reenkindle ideals. No dole, no charity, just cooperation! How can anyone deny himself a place in such an important undertaking when he has before him the urge of the ardent appeal of the life-work of our distinguished fellow-citizen, Felix M. Warburg? To aid the cause earnestly and heartily will be a genuine tribute to this unselfish man, who has eschewed ease and comfort to stand shoulder to shoulder with his brethren in every worthy cause.
Sincerely yours,
Edward Lazansky.
