Eleven students at leading universities throughout the United States have received interfaith scholarships donated by B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations, Rabbi Arthur J. Lelyveld, director of the Foundation, announced this week-end.
Among the recipients was a Negro student who was selected because of his work with Chinese students, a pre-divinity student, two Jewish students and six students active in Christian student groups on the campus. Scholarships are given to students who have done the most to promote good fellowship and understanding among various religious and racial groups on the campus.
