Remittances totaling over $1,100,000 have been sent to Palestine for the extension of Jewish immigration and colonization work since the organization of the United Palestine Appeal December 1st, according to a report made public by Dr. Stephen S. Wise, National Chairman of the Appeal.

This constitutes a new high record of contributions from Jews of America for the upbuilding of Palestine, according to Dr. Wise, who said that in response to urgent requests from the Palestine Zionist Executive in Jerusalem, it would be necessary to remit $500,000 to Palestine during April to meet present needs of the budget so that the flow of immigration from Eastern and Central Europe could be maintained uninterrupted. Of the required April total, $200,000 has already been forwarded to Palestine.
