Thirteen Jewish students were injured, three of them seriously, when anti-Semitic National Democratic students attacked a Jewish students summer camp at Poronin, near Zakopane, today.
The most seriously injured students are a physician named Lifschitz, an engineer, Rothstein, and an undergraduate, Bacher.
The anti-Semitic students, hailing from Posen, began their attack when Jewish students declined to remove the Polish flag which they had displayed together with the Zionist flag, upon the expiration of a twenty-four hour ultimatum period set by the National Democrats.
The anti-Semites from Posen, their number augmented by inhabitants from the district, besieged the colony, aiming missiles at the buildings and opening pistol fire.
All the windows, the lamps and the furniture were broken up.
The police arrived within fifteen minutes after the start of the attack and dispersed the mob. The Jewish injured were taken to a Jewish hospital. One of the attackers also sustained injuries.
A semi-official communique denies that the National Democrats opened pistol fire and asserts that only toy revolvers were used.
