Thirteen Jews were among the 618 deputies elected to the Chamber of Deputies in recent elections, it was disclosed today. They include Leon Blum, leader of the Socialists; Georges Mandel, Minister of Communications, and Leon Meyer, mayor of Havre.
Among the Jewish candidates who were defeated are Henri Torres, former Minister Jacques Stern and Louis Louis-Dreyfus, a banker.
The Jewish deputies include two Communists, five Socialists, four Radical Socialists and two Independents.
