With the end of June marking the close of the United States fiscal and immigration year, it was announced today by the National Refugee Service that an estimated 13,000 Jewish refugees found a haven in the United States in the face of tremendous obstacles during the past twelve months. The month of June alone saw the arrival of approximately 1,000 emigrees who were enabled to reach sanctuary in this country despite the extreme difficulties of wartime transportation.
