Absorption Minister Natan Peled told the Knesset today that 14,370 Soviet immigrants came to Israel between Jan. and June. Peled has said on other occasions that the figure was 1000 fewer than the same period last year. He gave the following breakdown: from Georgia, 3973; from Bokhara, 1330; and from the rest of the USSR, 9067. Significantly, the June-figure was the lowest of the six months and the only time it dropped below 2000 to 1923.
