The twentieth anniversary of the establishment of Beth Moses Hospital will be observed Sunday night at a dinner at the Hotel St. George, which is expected to be attended by 1,500. Reservations in excess of 1,000 had been received up to Friday night.
Harry Levy, chairman of the program, has arranged for the appearance of noted figures in various fields of amusement.
Short speeches will be made by various persons who have helped develop the hospital from the 110-bed plant it was at its founding to the 225-bed establishment it is now.
Beth Moses Hospital is located at Stuyvesant avenue and Hart street, Brooklyn, and serves a large and densely populated section of the borough, particularly the Williamsburg area. It gives treatment to approximately 5,000 persons annually in addition to clinical care in about 60,000 instances. The hospital recognizes no lines of color, race or religious faith.
HONORARY DINNER HEADS
Honorary chairmen for the dinner are Presiding Justice Edward Lazansky of the Appellate Division; Supreme Court Justice Mitchell May, president of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities; Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, executive director of the Federation, and Samuel Salzman, a former president of the organization.
