The Pioneer Women’s Organization has sent the sum of $160,000 to the Working Women’s Council, its sister organization in Palestine, since the beginning of the fiscal year, October 1, 1943, it was reported today by Miss Dvcrah Rothbard, National Secretary.
The funds have enabled the Working Women’s Council to absorb young girls brought from neighboring countries into the agricultural training farms where they are earning various phases of farming, including citrus culture, tree nursing, vegetable growing, bee raising, and care of poultry and cows, Miss Rothbard said.
