The Feast of Tabernacles was indeed a Season of Joy for 170 Jewish refugees stranded in England because of the enactment of the United States quota law three years ago.
The refugees, who have been held in Eastleigh Camp, were permitted by an order of the Home Office to settle temporarily in London. The permission was granted on the condition that the refugees proceed to America or elsewhere as soon as possible and that they enter no employment unless such employment would in no way displace British labor.
Great joy prevailed among the refugees who were released after three years of a life confined to the barracks of Eastleigh Camp.
