The number of Jews of the four largest Jewish communities in Canada now exceeds 170,000, it was revealed here by the Canada Jewish Congress after a study of the results of the Canada census of 1951. The Congress revealed that metropolitan Montreal, foremost among the Jewish communities, numbered 80,829 in 1951, while metropolitan Toronto had 66,773, metropolitan Winnipeg, 18,514 and metropolitan Vancouver, 5,466.
