The Interior Ministry tonight announced that 18 of the German Jewish refugees who arrived at Veracruz aboard the Hamburg-America liner Iberia have been refused permission to land because their papers were not in order. It was said the 18 rejected refugees were only supplied with tourist visas. The Iberia is scheduled to leave for Tampico soon before returning to Germany. In the interval, Mexican immigration authorities will give individual examination to the case of each of the refugees.
