Poland, whose government is seeking expatriation of 80,000 Jews annually, has had an emigration of 186,134 Jews between 1925 and 1935, according to figures published in Paris by the HIAS-ICA Emigration Association and made public here by HIAS.
The peak year of the Jewish exodus was 1935, when 30,717 Jews emigrated from Poland as compared with 23,393 in 1926.
During the ten years, 67,242 of the emigrants settled in Palestine, 27,755 in the United States, 15,466 in Canada, 4,689 in Central American republics, 31,098 in Argentina, 13,098 in Brazil, 4,378 in Uruguay, 1,150 in Australia, 17,169 in European countries and 3,774 to other overseas countries.
