Teddy Kollek, Mayor of Jerusalem, was principal speaker yesterday at a dinner that raised $1 million in Israel Bond sales. Six local leaders were honored at the dinner attended by more than 400 persons and was sponsored by the Fraternal Division of State of Israel Bonds. Kollek stressed the importance of Israel Bonds. capital in the expansion of Israel’s economy and in the absorption of the many Jewish immigrants from the Soviet Union. The presentation of the Israel Bond Organization’s Special Achievement Award was made by Kollek to the six New Yorkers.
