Terrorism continued unabated in various parts of Palestine today, bringing violent death to a prominent Haifa merchant and an Arab village leader’s son. The merchant, Haj Hassan Darfil, who is also a dealer in land, was shot dead this morning in a crowded Haifa market place. His assailant escaped. Troops dynamited seven Arab houses in the village of Azzun, in reprisal for the slaying there Sunday of eight Arab constables. Ten other houses in the vicinity collapsed as a result of the explosions. Families of the slain policemen were awarded $250 each.
