Terrorist operations continued in Palestine today, claiming two more Jewish victims, as the London conferences opened. A land mine exploded under a Jewish-owned truck near Kubab, on the Jerusalem-Jaffa highway, killing the driver, Abraham Likvas, 35, who came here from Germany 18 months ago. Joseph Weinreich, 23-year-old special policeman, an immigrant from Riga, was shot to death from ambush shortly after midnight while on duty in the Jewish colony of Beer Tuvia.
