A Jewish auxiliary policeman, Isaac Reizler, was seriously injured when an Arab band ambushed a patrol near Salha, in northern Palestine, where a barbed-wire barricade is being constructed along the Syrian frontier to prevent influx of terrorists. The patrol replied to the attack and drove off the band.
Increased protection of the Iraq Petroleum Company’s pipeline by Jewish patrols is resulting in the defeat of attempts to puncture it. Britain’s Palestine partition commission continued its in camera sittings today, hearing William D. Battershill, chief government secretary, all morning. Yesterday the commission heard leaders of the orthodox Agudath Israel, including Rabbis Joseph Zvi Dushinsky and Moshe Blau and Dr. Mordecai Buxbaum.
