2 Peasants Held for Murder of Talmud Scholar

Two young peasants were under arrest today for the murder of Ernst Blumenfeld, Talmud scholar and peddler of Hebrew books. Blumenfeld had mistakenly knocked at the door of a non-Jewish home in the village of Vaja, in Szabolcz district, when he was slain. He is survived by his widow and six children.
